Privacy Policy
Remote Control for TV Stick is developed by Pol Nadal Serra (Blastly). This policy explains what the app collects, why, and what you can do about it. It covers both the iOS and the Android versions.
The app is free to download and contains no advertising.
Effective from 20 August 2026.
In short
- There is no account. You never give us a name, an email or a password.
- The app contains no ads and reads no advertising identifier.
- Analytics are optional and off until you agree to them.
- What you type and say goes to your own TV, and nowhere else.
- To delete your data, email support@blastlystudio.com.
How the app works
Remote Control for TV Stick controls a TV Stick device over your home Wi-Fi network. The app finds the device on your network, pairs with it using a code shown on the TV screen, and then sends it commands.
Your TV's address and the pairing code it gives us are stored only on your phone, in encrypted storage provided by the operating system (Keychain on iOS, EncryptedSharedPreferences on Android). They are never sent to us or to anyone else.
What we collect
1. Usage analytics — optional
If you agree, we collect anonymous data about how the app is used: which screens you open, which features you use, and an app instance identifier generated by Google Analytics for Firebase. This tells us which parts of the app people struggle with.
This is off until you agree to it, and you can turn it off at any time (see "Your choices" below).
Processed by: Google (Firebase Analytics, Firebase Remote Config).
2. Purchase history — required
If you buy a subscription or a one-time purchase, we receive the product purchased and whether it is active, tied to an anonymous identifier generated when you installed the app.
We never see your card, your billing address or your store account. Payments are handled entirely by Apple or Google.
Processed by: RevenueCat, Apple App Store, Google Play.
3. Voice, while you hold the voice button — not stored
When you use voice search or dictation, audio is streamed to your own TV over your local network, and to your phone's built-in speech recognition so it can be turned into text.
It is not recorded, not stored, and never reaches us.
4. Text you type on the remote keyboard — not stored
Sent to your own TV over your local network so it appears on screen. It is not stored and never reaches us.
5. If you contact support
The support screen opens your own email app with a message you can read and edit before sending. It includes the app version, your device model and your operating system version, so we can reproduce the problem. Nothing is sent unless you press send.
What we do not collect
- No advertising identifier. The app does not read one, and on Android the advertising ID permission is removed from the app entirely.
- No name, email address, phone number or password.
- No contacts, photos, files, calendar, messages or location.
- No crash reporting service is installed.
- We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising.
Your choices
Analytics are optional and you can change your mind whenever you like.
- AndroidSettings > Anonymous usage data
- iOSSettings > Anonymous usage data
Turning it off stops collection immediately.
The microphone is used only while you are holding the voice button. You can revoke microphone access at any time in your device's system settings; every other part of the app keeps working.
Data deletion
You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
Email support@blastlystudio.com from any address and tell us you want your data deleted. We will action the request within 30 days and confirm by reply. You do not need an account, and you do not need to explain why.
If you know it, include the anonymous app identifier shown at the bottom of the app's Settings screen — it helps us find the right records. If you do not, we will still process the request.
Deleting the app from your device removes everything stored on the device, including your TV's address and pairing code.
Service providers
We use these companies to run the service. They process data on our behalf and may not use it for their own purposes:
- Google (Firebase Analytics, Firebase Remote Config)
- RevenueCat (subscription management)
- Apple App Store / Google Play (payments)

Log data
If the app misbehaves, the analytics service may record technical details such as the app version, your device model, your operating system version and the time it happened. This is subject to the same opt-out as everything else in section 1.
Security
Data leaving your phone is encrypted in transit. Your TV's address and pairing code are held in encrypted storage on the device and never transmitted anywhere except to the TV itself.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
This app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Links to other sites
The app links to our terms, this policy, and your store's subscription management page. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of sites we do not operate.
Changes
We may update this policy. Changes are posted on this page with a new effective date.
